Alex Macklin comes to Northpointe with 30 years of experience in the lending industry. He chose to specialize in lending because he enjoys helping his clients acquire one of the most important financial assets they will purchase, a new home, second home, or investment property. He is ready to assist buyers with their needs, whether they are looking to buy a new home, refinance their current one, or build their dream home. Alex likes to make sure each client is able to make the best choice for them by helping them navigate the many loan products available to help set them up for future financial success.

Alex attended Campbell University, receiving a BBA in Trust Management and a Minor in Financial Planning. In his free time, he loves spending time with his wife and son or enjoying one of his many hobbies. His hobbies include fishing at the coast, reading, learning about investing and personal finance management, tinkering with electronics, or playing bass guitar. He even plays on his church's worship team. Community is significant to Alex. He has always been involved in helping to make a positive impact on it. He has been a charter member of the Holly Springs Rotary Club since 2004 and has served as the chair of their Meals on Wheels program. He has held the position of club treasurer and has received the Service Above Self award. Alex chose Rotary International because of the many things that they do for local and international communities. He grew up in Cary, NC, and currently resides in Holly Springs, NC, to remain close to home and to continue helping the community he loves.
