My husband and I bought an unwarrantable condo that required a portfolio loan. We were super concerned when we found this out after already making an offer and being pre-approved with another lender who told us they could no longer help us. However, when I reached out to Northpointe, BJ texted me within 20 minutes of my application and got the ball rolling immediately. He assured me they could handle that level of complexity and he wasn't kidding. He went above and beyond. He even had the condo association make addendums to their bylaws just so underwriting wouldn't deny the loan. At one point, I had a bit of an emotional break because I had a lot going on in my personal and professional life at the same time we were trying to close. Poor BJ took my tearful frustrations without flinching then wound up making me feel a hundred times better by the end of our call. I know the loan process is a complicated one, but BJ was unbelievably professional and kind and supportive. He kept us updated and I could really tell he was on our side the whole time. I never felt forgotten or like just another case. Every interaction was personal and when my anxiety would spike, he'd always be there to talk me through it... Because it was never anything out of the ordinary. Closing on a loan is just stressful and I kept hitting my limit because of outside factors. Honestly, I can't recommend BJ enough. I have already suggested coworker reach out when they find a home. And because of BJ, my husband and I are also opening a savings account at Northpointe with a large chunk of our previous home's equity. BJ deserves alllllllll the kudos. Give him employee of the month. Or year. Seriously.
